Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Install and provision the Pinegrove daemon on any macOS or Linux machine.

Quick Start

npx @pinegrovedev/cli

This runs the full interactive setup:

  1. Downloads and installs the latest daemon binary
  2. Registers a system service (launchd on macOS, systemd on Linux)
  3. Installs prerequisites (Nix, Devbox, bubblewrap)
  4. Authenticates and connects the device to your team's mesh

Commands

setup (default)

npx @pinegrovedev/cli setup

Full interactive install and provisioning. Some steps (like the Nix installer) may prompt for sudo.

Options:

  • --skip-prereqs — Skip prerequisite installation
  • --token <token> — Provisioning token for headless setup
  • --name <name> — Device name for headless setup
  • --api-url <url> — Custom API URL

Headless mode (for CI/automation):

npx @pinegrovedev/cli setup --token pgr_tok_... --name my-server

status

npx @pinegrovedev/cli status

Show daemon version, process status, and prerequisite health.

uninstall

npx @pinegrovedev/cli uninstall

Stop the daemon and remove the system service. State directory is preserved.

Requirements

  • Node.js 22+
  • macOS (arm64/x86_64) or Linux (arm64/x86_64)
  • curl (for downloading the daemon binary)
