Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

v0.1.6

Published

Deterministic PVOX compilation, validation, CPU review rendering, and browser-safe decoding.

Readme

@plasius/gpu-model-voxel

Browser-safe deterministic tooling for the Plasius PVOX model format.

The first public profile compiles a verified, static triangle document into a single-partition, shell-mode, LOD0 PVOX 1.0 artifact. It independently validates the artifact, decodes its surface field, renders four deterministic review PNGs, and can derive a disposable exposed-voxel mesh for compatibility demos.

PVOX remains the immutable asset of record. The derived triangle cache is never catalogued and is not native sparse-field renderer evidence.

Feature gate

Consumers must evaluate asset.pipeline.pvox-models.enabled before invoking the compiler or exposing PVOX assets. This package does not evaluate remote flags itself.

Bounded v0 profile

  • PVOX 1.0, little endian, 8×8×8 bricks, 64-KiB pages.
  • One partition and one visible LOD.
  • shell geometry with at most 200,000 source triangles.
  • Base-colour/material factors only; no runtime texture/image dependency.
  • At most 64 cells on the longest axis and 262,144 occupied surface voxels.
  • At most 512 bricks, hierarchy depth 3, 585 hierarchy nodes, and 4,521,984 artifact bytes (69 complete pages) for this closed 64³ profile.
  • static-render-v1 only. Physical/destruction/deformation capabilities are explicitly unsupported.
  • Compiler input must be the exact plasius.gpu-model-static-demo/1 verified-document projection; that profile identifier is included in the compilation-input hash.

Malformed inputs fail closed. Unknown sections/codecs, invalid hashes, overlapping ranges, duplicate or unsorted bricks, unbounded runs, non-finite coordinates, nonzero alignment padding, inconsistent spatial bounds, invalid hierarchy ancestry, and trailing bytes are rejected before large allocation.

Public API

import {
  compilePvoxStaticShellV1,
  validatePvoxV1,
  renderPvoxReviewViewsV1,
  createPvoxSurfaceMeshV1,
} from "@plasius/gpu-model-voxel";

The disposable surface cache includes a surface-palette index for every emitted vertex, allowing compatibility renderers to retain the decoded PVOX colour, roughness, metallic, specular, and emission grouping without making the triangle cache a catalog artifact.

See ADR 0001 and TDR 0001 for the closed demo profile and exact records.

Development

Use Node.js 24.18.0.

npm ci
npm run lint
npm run typecheck
npm run test:coverage
npm run build
npm run pack:check

Release integrity

GitHub CI and CD follow the released @plasius/schema v1.4.2 package template, using privacy checks, exact-main validation, immutable tarball and SBOM sealing, provenance, and npm OIDC. The first registry publication may use only the explicit, release-bound and time-limited bootstrap_first_publish production gate while the package is absent; the credential is removed after trusted publishing is bound. Release preparation advances to a new version instead of rewriting an incomplete release tag that belongs to an earlier immutable commit.
