Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@plurnk/plurnk-mimetypes-text-swift

text/x-swift mimetype handler for the plurnk ecosystem. Tier 2 in the framework's four-tier backend model — uses the alex-pinkus/tree-sitter-swift grammar built to WASM and shipped pre-built in this package.

install

npm i @plurnk/plurnk-mimetypes-text-swift

No build tools required at install time. The swift.wasm artifact is included.

what it does

Three channels per the framework's #10 contract:

  • symbols (extractRaw / preview) — class/struct/enum/protocol/actor/extension as class/enum/interface; functions, init/deinit, methods, properties, type aliases, macros. Discriminates the grammar's umbrella class_declaration based on the declarator keyword.
  • deep-json (deepJson) — inherited from TreeSitterExtractor: full named-children walk of the Swift parse tree, native tree-sitter-swift node types. jsonpath queries reach every parse-tree node.
  • deep-xml — framework-projected from deep-json.

coverage

Validated against Swift 6 features with zero parse errors:

  • Classic syntax: struct, class, protocol, extension, generics
  • Property wrappers (@propertyWrapper, @State, @Binding, @Environment)
  • async/await, actors, @MainActor
  • Result builders (@resultBuilder, @ViewBuilder)
  • Macros (@Observable, @freestanding, @attached, custom macros)
  • Parameter packs (each T, repeat (each T, each U))
  • Typed throws (throws(ParseError))
  • Noncopyable types (~Copyable)
  • Ownership modifiers (borrowing, consuming)

the grammar pin

.swift-grammar-pin records the upstream commit SHA the swift.wasm artifact is built from. The publish-time scripts/build-wasm.mjs builds it; the verify-time scripts/verify-wasm.mjs rebuilds and compares for byte-identical reproducibility.

To update the grammar:

  1. Update .swift-grammar-pin with the new commit SHA.
  2. npm run build:wasm — produces a fresh swift.wasm.
  3. Verify tests still pass.
  4. Bump the package version and republish.
