Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Redux CRUD

Demo - Todo Task

Demo - Pagination

Demo - with React.useReducer

Installation

yarn add @pong420/redux-crud

Basic Example

/typings.ts

export interface Schema$Todo {
  uniqueID: string;
  task: string;
  completed: boolean;
}

/store/actions.ts

import { Schema$Todo } from '../typings';
import { getCRUDActionCreator, UnionCRUDActions } from '@pong420/redux-crud';

// The first value in the array specified, the second value can be any string.
// You can define the action you need only
export const [todoActions, TodoActionTypes] = createCRUDActions<
  Schema$Todo,
  'id'
>()({
  // you could just add the actions that you needs
  createTodo: ['CREATE', 'CREATE_TODO'],
  deleteTodo: ['DELETE', 'DELETE_TODO'],
  updateTodo: ['UPDATE', 'UPDATE_TODO'],
  paginateTodo: ['PAGINATE', 'PAGINATE_TODO'],
  setPageTodo: ['SET_PAGE', 'SET_PAGE_TODO'],
  resetTodo: ['RESET', 'RESET_TODO']
});

/store/reducer.ts

import { combineReducers, Reducer, AnyAction } from 'redux';
import { createCRUDReducer } from '@pong420/redux-crud';
import { Schema$Todo } from '../typings';

const [todoInitialState, todoReducer] = createCRUDReducer<Schema$Todo>({
  key: 'uniqueID',
  actions: TodoActionTypes
});

const rootReducer = () =>
  combineReducers({
    todo: todoReducer
  });

export default rootReducer;

export type RootState = ReturnType<ReturnType<typeof rootReducer>>;

Options

You could add initial state here

const pageSize = 100;
const [state, reducer] = createCRUDReducer({
  // ...other otpions,
  pageNo: 1,
  pageSize,
  ids: new Arrary(pageSize).fill(null),
  list: new Arrary(pageSize).fill({})
});

prefill

By default, list and ids in state will prefill with {} and null. You could disable this feature by seting prefill to false

const [state, reducer] = createCRUDReducer({
  // ...other otpions
  prefill: false
});

onLocationChanged

If you are using connected-react-router. pageNo and params will initialize from URL search params. And state will reset when location changed

Examples - Handle pageNo or filter on URL search params

To disable this feature, you can

const [state, reducer] = createCRUDReducer({
  // ...other otpions
  onLocationChanged: null
});

For hash router, you should assgin pathname yourself. Otherwise the pageNo and params will not initialize from search params

const [state, reducer] = createCRUDReducer({
  // ...other otpions
  pathname: window.location.hash.slice(1).replace(/\?.*/, '')
});
