Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Realm Manager

CLI tool for managing Realm database files - read, export to JSON, and view schema information.

Installation

npm install -g @proactivebit/realm-manager

Usage

Read Command

Read and display count of objects in a Realm file.

realm-manager read <file> [options]

Options:

  • -o, --object <name> - Object name to count (default: "PuzzleItem")

Examples:

realm-manager read default.realm
realm-manager read default.realm -o PuzzleList

Export Command

Export Realm objects to JSON format.

realm-manager export <file> [output] [options]

Arguments:

  • <file> - Path to Realm file
  • [output] - Output JSON file path (optional, defaults to <file>.json)

Options:

  • -o, --object <name> - Object name to export (default: "PuzzleItem")

Examples:

# Auto-generate output filename (creates default.json)
realm-manager export default.realm

# Specify custom output file
realm-manager export default.realm puzzles.json

# Export specific object type
realm-manager export default.realm -o PuzzleList

Schema Command

Display schema information for all objects in the Realm file.

realm-manager schema <file>

Example:

realm-manager schema default.realm
