Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

🚀 Getting Started

Prerequisites

Make sure you have the following installed:

  • Node.js (v18 or above recommended)
  • npm (comes bundled with Node.js)

Installation

# Clone the repository
git clone <your-repo-url>
cd my-design-system

# Install dependencies
npm install

🖥️ Running the Project

Development Server

Starts the Vite dev server for the main app at http://localhost:5173:

npm run dev

Storybook

Launches the Storybook component explorer at http://localhost:6006:

npm run storybook

Use Storybook to browse, interact with, and test all components in isolation.


🏗️ Building

Build the App

npm run build

Build Storybook (Static)

Generates a static Storybook site to the storybook-static/ folder:

npm run build-storybook

Preview the Production Build

npm run preview
