Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Command-line interface for running QuickByte data pipelines. This tool allows you to run, validate, and inspect data pipelines defined in JSON configuration files.

Installation

Global Installation

npm install -g @quickbyte/cli

Local Installation

npm install @quickbyte/cli --save-dev

Quick Start

  1. Create a pipeline configuration file (e.g., pipeline.json)
  2. Run your pipeline:
quickbyte run pipeline.json

Command Reference

quickbyte run <configPath>

Runs a pipeline from a configuration file.

Options:

  • --dry-run: Validate and show pipeline plan without executing
  • --verbose: Show detailed execution logs
  • --output <path>: Specify custom output path for results

Example:

quickbyte run pipeline.json --dry-run --verbose

quickbyte validate <configPath>

Validates a pipeline configuration without executing it.

Options:

  • --strict: Enable strict validation mode
  • --schema <path>: Use custom validation schema

Example:

quickbyte validate pipeline.json --strict

quickbyte list

Lists all registered component types.

Options:

  • --type <type>: Filter by component type (reader/transformer/writer)
  • --json: Output in JSON format
