Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

[!IMPORTANT] This repository, and the apps, libraries, and tools contained within, is still in it's initial development phase. As a result, bugs and issues are expected with it's usage. When the main development phase completes, a proper release will be performed, the packages will be available through NPM (and other distributions), and this message will be removed. However, in the meantime, please feel free to report any issues you may come across.

Razorwind - Cursor Theme Extension Plugin

Razorwind - Cursor Theme Extension creates Cursor-installable theme extensions from design tokens. Cursor is a VS Code fork and loads the same VSIX theme format (Dracula Cursor is a good reference).

Installing

Using pnpm:

pnpm add -D @razorwind/cursor
npm install -D @razorwind/cursor
yarn add -D @razorwind/cursor

Usage

import { defineConfig } from "@razorwind/core";
import cursor, { flattenTokens } from "@razorwind/cursor";

export default defineConfig({
  plugins: [
    cursor({
      name: "my-theme",
      publisher: "acme",
      displayName: "My Theme",
      mapTheme: tokens => {
        const flat = flattenTokens(tokens);
        const color = (path: string) =>
          flat.find(t => t.path === path)?.cssValue ?? "#000000";

        return [
          {
            name: "my-theme-dark",
            displayName: "My Theme Dark",
            type: "dark",
            colors: {
              "editor.background": color("color.bg"),
              "editor.foreground": color("color.fg")
            }
          },
          {
            name: "my-theme-light",
            displayName: "My Theme Light",
            type: "light",
            colors: {
              "editor.background": color("color.bg"),
              "editor.foreground": color("color.fg")
            }
          }
        ];
      }
    })
  ]
});

Generated package (under cursor-extension/ by default):

  • themes/*.json — VS Code–compatible theme documents from mapTheme
  • package.json — extension manifest + contributes.themes + package-vsix script
  • .vscodeignore, README.md
  • INSTALL.md — Cursor VSIX install steps
  • scripts/ — VSIX packaging helpers (buildCursorPackage, vsixPackageShim)

Options

| Option | Default | Description | | ---------------- | --------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------- | | name | (required) | Unscoped extension id | | publisher | (required) | Extension publisher id | | mapTheme | (required) | (tokens) => theme, theme array, or theme record | | outputPath | "cursor-extension" | Output directory for the extension package | | displayName | title-cased name | Extension / Color Theme display name | | version | "0.0.1" | Extension version (no prerelease tags) | | includeScripts | true | Emit packaging scripts/ + package.json script entries | | extensionName | name | Unscoped name used by the VSIX shim / dist/<name>.vsix | | installGuide | (generated) | Override body for generated INSTALL.md |

mapTheme return shapes: a single CursorTheme, an array, or a Record<string, CursorTheme>. Theme type is light | dark | hc | hcLight (maps to uiTheme in contributes.themes).

Install in Cursor

After generation, from the output directory:

pnpm package-vsix

Then in Cursor: Command Palette → Extensions: Install from VSIX... → select ./dist/<name>.vsixPreferences: Color Theme. See generated INSTALL.md for the full steps.

Storm Workspaces

Storm workspaces are built using Nx, a set of extensible dev tools for monorepos, which helps you develop like Google, Facebook, and Microsoft. Building on top of Nx, the Open System provides a set of tools and patterns that help you scale your monorepo to many teams while keeping the codebase maintainable.
