reposell

The CLI for the reposell repository-to-repository listing protocol. Automates repository initialization, release management, cryptographic signing, storefront generation, and listing publication.

No server, no database, no Docker. Pure static frontend + GitHub Actions CI + Stripe Payment Links.

Install

npm install -g @reposell/cli

Quickstart

cd your-repo
reposell init --yes       # zero-config: generate keys, create reposell.yml, scaffold /sell
reposell release          # declare a release with pricing + Stripe Payment Link
reposell publish          # approve publication after gates pass

During reposell init, the wizard will:

1. Create reposell.yml with your product config
2. Generate Ed25519 signing keys
3. Ask for your Stripe Payment Link and secret key
4. Auto-store REPOSELL_STRIPE_SECRET_KEY as a GitHub Actions secret for CI payment link validation
5. Build the /sell storefront page
6. Generate the CI workflow

How It Works

Payment Model

Buyer pays TWO separate transactions:

1. DISCOVERY CONTRIBUTION → reposell's Stripe account
   (created by listing CI, seller-declared amount, e.g. $5)

2. LICENSE PURCHASE → seller's own Stripe account
   (seller-created Payment Link on /sell, seller keeps 100%)

Payment Link Validation

All payment links are validated before any purchase:

• Seller CI: reposell build validates payment_link_id against Stripe API — inactive links block the release
• Seller frontend: /sell page runtime check disables Buy button for dead links
• Listing CI: discovery-sync validates discovery links — inactive links block the Pay button
• Listing frontend: listing detail page blocks both Pay and storefront buttons for invalid links

Workflow

reposell init          → detect repo, generate keys, create reposell.yml + /sell
reposell release       → attach pricing + Payment Link to a GitHub release
reposell publish       → approve publication after validation gates
reposell listing       → announce to the reposell listing directory
