Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Roder native coding agent CLI

Readme

Roder reads your code, edits files, and runs commands through a native Rust runtime. Use the interactive terminal interface, run a task from a script, or connect an editor through the Agent Client Protocol (ACP). Choose from providers including OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Codex, and OpenRouter.

Get started

npm install -g @roderai/roder
roder --version
roder

Or launch without a global installation:

npx --yes @roderai/roder

Connect a provider

For a ChatGPT subscription, sign in through Roder:

roder auth login codex
roder auth status
roder

Select your provider and model in Roder's provider menu. Other providers support their own API keys, such as OPENAI_API_KEY or ANTHROPIC_API_KEY. See the provider quickstart for the full list and configuration examples.

Settings and credentials live under ~/.roder. Installing or removing this npm package preserves that directory.

Run from a script

roder exec "Explain how this repository is organized"
printf 'Review the current diff\n' | roder exec --json -

roder exec runs without a terminal. Its default stdout contains the final response; --json emits JSONL events for automation. See the execution reference.

Connect an editor

Start Roder's ACP endpoint:

npx --yes @roderai/roder acp

For ACP clients that accept a command and arguments:

{
  "command": "npx",
  "args": ["--yes", "@roderai/roder", "acp"]
}

With a global installation, use roder as the command and ["acp"] as its arguments. See Roder's ACP documentation.

Supported platforms

| Platform | Architecture | | --- | --- | | macOS | Apple Silicon / ARM64 | | Linux | x64 | | Linux | ARM64 |

Node.js 18 or newer is required to launch the native binary. Linux requires glibc 2.35 or newer and system CA certificates. Alpine/musl, Intel macOS, and native Windows are unsupported; Windows users can run a supported Linux distribution through WSL.

All three native binaries are bundled in the package. No Rust compiler, install scripts, or separate binary download is needed. Installation also works with npm install --ignore-scripts.

Update or remove

npm install -g @roderai/roder@latest
npm uninstall -g @roderai/roder

To pin a release, install @roderai/roder@<version>.
