Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

@roku-sdk/dev-tools

Shared development configuration for RSG SDK apps: a TypeScript base config, a Jest config and preset, an ESLint config, a Prettier config, and recommended VS Code extensions and XML settings. An app extends these files instead of maintaining its own copies, so its tests, lint rules and compiler settings match the ones the SDK is built and tested with.

Install

pnpm add -D @roku-sdk/dev-tools

Apps created with rk create already include it and use every config below.

Usage

jest.config.mjs:

export { default } from "@roku-sdk/dev-tools/jest-config/jest.config.mjs";

eslint.config.mjs:

import rokuSdkToolsLinterConfig from "@roku-sdk/dev-tools/linter-config/eslint.config.mjs";

export default rokuSdkToolsLinterConfig;

Prettier, in package.json:

"prettier": "@roku-sdk/dev-tools/linter-config/.prettierrc.json"

The TypeScript base config is @roku-sdk/dev-tools/typescript-config/tsconfig.base.json. Apps normally extend @roku-sdk/rsg-ts/tsconfig.json, which builds on it and adds the SDK's global and JSX types.
