Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

The ultimate zero-config CLI framework for building Acode plugins in TypeScript and JavaScript.

Readme

AcodeZ

The absolute most powerful, production-ready CLI framework for building, managing, and publishing Acode plugins.

Powered by acode-plugin-types. This framework handles everything: from blazing-fast Esbuild compilation, native SASS parsing, and military-grade code obfuscation, to a completely integrated Acode.app Store Management terminal.

🔥 Features

  • Gorgeous Go-like UI: Completely redesigned with @clack/prompts, offering an ultra-modern, vertical step-by-step terminal experience.
  • Advanced Asset Pipeline: Automatically scans your assets/ folder, detects massive .png/.jpg images over 100KB, scales them down, and crushes their file sizes by up to 90% during zipping using Jimp.
  • Zero Config Setup: Instantly scaffold a new TypeScript or JavaScript plugin with a single command.
  • Store Management directly in CLI: login, publish, unpublish, check info and reply to user reviews without ever opening a web browser!
  • Wireless HMR Server: Code on your PC and watch the plugin automatically hot-reload inside Acode on your phone over Wi-Fi! console.log from the Acode webview is directly piped back into your terminal.
  • Military-Grade Obfuscation: The production compiler optionally scrambles your code using javascript-obfuscator to protect your intellectual property.

🚀 Getting Started

1. The Global CLI (Recommended)

You should install acodez globally! By installing it globally, you unlock the ability to manage your entire Acode plugin portfolio from anywhere on your machine without needing to reinstall the tool.

npm install -g @rvrugved/acodez

Why Global?

  • Speed: Type acodez anywhere in your terminal instantly. No more waiting for npx to download packages every time!
  • Store Dashboard: Read acodez reviews, or list your published plugins without even being inside a project folder.
  • Portability: Keep your local node_modules tiny by letting the global CLI handle all the heavy lifting (Esbuild, SASS, Jimp).

2. Initialization

Create a brand new plugin interactively using the beautiful new setup UI:

acodez init my-plugin
cd my-plugin

2. Development (Hot-Reloading)

Start the local development server:

acodez dev

This will watch your files, compile your SASS/TS instantly, pipe Acode console logs to your terminal, and serve the plugin on a local IP.

To test in Acode: Go to Plugins → + (Add) → Remote in Acode and enter the Local IP provided in the terminal (e.g., http://192.168.1.5:3000/plugin.zip). Every time you save a file, Acode will automatically reload it!

3. Production Build & Asset Compression

When you are ready for production, run:

acodez build

This minifies your code, triggers the Advanced Asset Pipeline to crush images, obfuscates logic (if enabled), and generates a highly optimized plugin.zip.

🌐 The Acode Store Ecosystem (New!)

You can now manage your entire Acode plugin portfolio directly from the CLI!

acodez login

Authenticate your machine with Acode.app using your email and password. Your secure session token is saved locally.

acodez publish

Builds, packages, and instantly uploads your plugin update directly to the Acode Store queue.

acodez info [plugin-id]

Fetch real-time, live statistics about any of your plugins, including live Store Version, Downloads, and Approval Status.

acodez reviews [plugin-id]

Read all recent user reviews (complete with 👍 Upvote / 👎 Downvote indicators) and reply to users directly from your terminal!

acodez unpublish [plugin-id]

Completely delete a plugin from the Acode store securely.
