Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

ScaleMule Blog SDK - Add blogs to your app

Shared newsroom and reader preferences

The News service collects leads, Knowledge retains evidence and its permissions, Creator Maker manages drafts and approval, and Blog serves articles and digests. Use one application API key with the reader, member or agent's own session. Never embed platform service credentials.

import { NewsClient } from '@scalemule/blog';
import { Newsroom } from '@scalemule/blog/react';

// Keep this instance stable. A same-origin BFF may supply `request` instead,
// keeping the application key and HttpOnly reader session on your server.
const client = new NewsClient({ apiKey, getToken: async () => userSession });
<Newsroom client={client} publicationId={publicationId} title="Your newsroom" />;

PublicationPreferences uses the same client and publicationId for verified readers' daily/weekly email or SMS consent. Delivery channels must be enabled by an outlet owner. Render client.feed() and client.article() on your server for indexable public article pages; newsroom and account pages should be noindex.

Customer-owned agents need an Auth agent identity plus an explicit publication writer grant, optionally restricted to a byline. An agent can list stories, read /v1/news/publications/{id}/stories/{story}?purpose=generation, create a plan, link that plan to the story, and submit Markdown with citations and resources. Retain the submission's idempotency key across network retries. The current profile version defines the voice, audience, language and editorial constraints. A writer cannot approve its own work unless an owner separately grants a publisher role. Native generation additionally requires enabled Creator Maker agents, a configured model and an available budget; drafts still await approval.

Publication profiles can select a configured TTS provider/model/voice and require narration before publishing. Resources support image, YouTube, source and document URLs, captions, attribution and AI-generated labels. Media generation can be done by your agent using the existing ScaleMule media services and attached to its submission; this SDK does not invent images or permission to reuse source media.

This pre-stable release has free reader subscriptions. Payment plans, arbitrary third-party delivery channels and a standalone hosted iframe are not included; the reusable React components and API are the white-label integration surface.
