Scorper MCP
Generate Scorper tweet-style Instagram carousels from Claude Code, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible AI agent. Runs locally on your machine, talks to your Scorper account over a thin API.
Requirements
- Node.js 18 or newer
- A Scorper account on the Pro, Max, or Coach plan
- A Scorper API key — mint one at dashboard.scorper.ai/settings/api-keys
Install (Claude Code)
claude mcp add scorper -- npx -y @scorper/mcp --api-key scrp_live_…Restart Claude Code. Scorper tools should now appear in your tool list.
Use it
Ask Claude things like:
- "Make me a Scorper carousel about morning routines for Muslim founders."
- "Use scorper to generate a 9-slide carousel about prompt engineering, gold tick, dark mode."
- "Check my Scorper credits."
Tools
| Tool | What it does |
| ------------------------------ | --------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| scorper_generate_carousel | Generate a tweet-style carousel. ~45-90s. 40 credits per call. |
| scorper_check_credits | Show remaining credits and tier. |
| scorper_list_profiles | List your brand profiles + default theme/tick. |
Generated slides are downloaded to ./scorper-output/{session-id}/ in the
working directory and also accessible via the URLs the tool returns.
Defaults
If you only pass topic, the carousel uses your saved Scorper profile —
display name, handle, profile pic, verified tick, theme. Override per-call
with theme (dark/light), tick (blue/gold/none), mode
(personal/biz), slide_count (6-11), or profile_id.
Environment overrides
| Variable | Equivalent flag | Default |
| --------------------- | ------------------ | -------------------------------- |
| SCORPER_API_KEY | --api-key | (required) |
| SCORPER_API_BASE | --api-base | https://dashboard.scorper.ai |
| SCORPER_OUTPUT_DIR | --out-dir | ./scorper-output |
Privacy
The MCP server forwards your topic and profile to your own Scorper account.
Your API key never leaves your machine — it sits in the MCP process Claude
Code spawns and is sent only as a Bearer header on requests to
dashboard.scorper.ai.
