Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Syncaida MCP Server

Connect Claude Code to your Syncaida workspace using the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

Installation

Prerequisites

  • Node.js 18 or higher
  • Claude Code installed
  • Syncaida API token (create one at Users & Security > API Tokens)

Global Installation

claude mcp add --scope user --transport stdio syncaida \
  --env SYNCAIDA_API_URL="http://localhost:8052" \

Verify Installation

Create a Whiteboard

Configuration

The MCP server requires two environment variables:

  • SYNCAIDA_API_URL: Your Syncaida API URL (default: http://localhost:8052)
  • SYNCAIDA_API_TOKEN: Your Syncaida API token (required)

Development

Local Development

Testing Locally

Troubleshooting

MCP server not connecting?

  • Verify your API token is valid
  • Check that SYNCAIDA_API_URL points to your running Syncaida instance
  • Ensure Claude Code has been restarted

Permission errors?

  • Make sure your API token has the necessary scopes
  • Check that the token hasn't been revoked
