Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

This package provides an embedding function using the Jina AI Embeddings API. Jina AI offers high-quality text and multimodal embedding services.

Installation

npm install @seekdb/jina

Usage

Quick Start

import { JinaEmbeddingFunction } from "@seekdb/jina";

const jinaEmbed = new JinaEmbeddingFunction({
  apiKeyEnvVar: "JINA_API_KEY", // Environment variable name for the API key (default: `'JINA_API_KEY'`)

Configuration Options

  • apiKey: Jina AI API key (optional, defaults to environment variable)
  • apiKeyEnvVar: Environment variable name for the API key (default: 'JINA_API_KEY')
  • modelName: Model name to use (default: 'jina-clip-v2')
  • task: Task type (optional)
  • lateChunking: Whether to use late chunking (optional)
  • truncate: Whether to truncate input (optional)
  • dimensions: Embedding dimensions (optional)
  • normalized: Whether to normalize embedding vectors (optional)
  • embeddingType: Embedding type (optional)
