Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Installation

npx @seitau/vibechecker

Or install globally:

npm install -g @seitau/vibechecker
vibechecker

Usage

  1. Start vibechecker:

    npx @seitau/vibechecker
  2. The tool will automatically:

    • Start a local server on port 3001
    • Open your browser at http://localhost:5173
    • Load the diff from your current git branch
  3. Review workflow:

    • Click on any line in the diff to add a comment
    • Use the file tree on the left to navigate between files
    • Comments are automatically saved to localStorage
    • Export your review using the floating buttons (📋 for Markdown, 📦 for JSON)
