Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Configure coding agents and IDEs for SekaiGateway with one command.

Wizard validates your API key against selected plan's /models endpoint, then merges required settings into each agent config.

Works on Windows, macOS, and Linux with Node.js 18 or newer.

Plans

| Plan | Endpoint | |---|---| | Pay as you go | https://api.sekaigateway.xyz/v1 | | Coding plan | https://api.sekaigateway.xyz/v2 |

Wizard asks which plan to use. Non-interactive commands default to Pay as you go; pass --base-url https://api.sekaigateway.xyz/v2 for Coding plan.

Install

# one-shot
npx @sekaigateway/helper

# or global
npm install -g @sekaigateway/helper
sekaigateway-helper

Short alias: sg-helper.

Interactive setup

sekaigateway-helper

Wizard flow:

  1. Choose Pay as you go or Coding plan.
  2. Enter API key; helper validates it against selected endpoint.
  3. Select agents and IDEs.
  4. Search and select models from live model list.
  5. Confirm changes.

Non-interactive setup

Pay as you go:

sekaigateway-helper apply \
  --key "$SEKAIGATEWAY_API_KEY" \
  --model MODEL_ID \
  --agents claude,opencode \
  --yes

Coding plan:

sekaigateway-helper apply \
  --key "$SEKAIGATEWAY_API_KEY" \
  --base-url https://api.sekaigateway.xyz/v2 \
  --model MODEL_ID \
  --agents claude,opencode \
  --yes

Commands

| Command | Description | |---|---| | sekaigateway-helper / setup | Interactive wizard | | apply | Non-interactive apply; requires API key and model | | status | Show installed and configured agents | | reset | Remove SekaiGateway settings | | validate --key … | Validate key and print models | | list | List supported agents |

Options

| Option | Meaning | |---|---| | --key, -k | API key; SEKAIGATEWAY_API_KEY also works | | --base-url | Override endpoint; default https://api.sekaigateway.xyz/v1 | | --model, -m | Primary model ID | | --subagent-model | Codex/OpenCode subagent model | | --models | Extra model IDs for OpenCode/OpenClaw | | --agents | installed, all, or comma-separated IDs | | --dry-run | Show actions without writing | | --yes, -y | Enable non-interactive default command | | --json | Machine-readable output |

Supported agents

Existing settings are merged. Modified files receive a .sekaigateway-backup copy.

Programmatic API

import {
  CODING_PLAN_BASE_URL,
  PAY_AS_YOU_GO_BASE_URL,
  applyToAgents,
  validateApiKey,
} from "@sekaigateway/helper";

const apiKey = process.env.SEKAIGATEWAY_API_KEY;
const validation = await validateApiKey({
  apiKey,
  baseUrl: CODING_PLAN_BASE_URL,
});
if (!validation.ok) throw new Error(validation.error);

await applyToAgents("installed", {
  apiKey,
  baseUrl: PAY_AS_YOU_GO_BASE_URL,
  model: validation.models[0].id,
});
