Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Zero-friction security for the Vibe Coding generation.

Checkmate Vibe is a point-in-time security auditor designed for developers using AI generation tools like Lovable, Bolt, v0, and Replit. It turns security into a "vibe" by giving you instant feedback and remediation prompts you can paste directly back into your AI chat.

🚀 Quick Start

Run it instantly in any project directory:

npx @serenegrasshopper/checkmate-vibe@latest

What happens?

  1. 📸 Snapshot: It takes a lightweight snapshot of your current code.
  2. 🚀 Analysis: Sends it to high-performance AI security agents.
  3. 📊 Scorecard: You get an instant Health Grade (A-F) and a summary of critical issues.
  4. 👉 Prompt-Back: It generates a specific prompt you can paste into your AI generator to fix the vulnerabilities.

🔑 Authentication

Checkmate Vibe works out of the box with Auto-Registration. However, to manage your audit history and access the full dashboard, you should link your GitHub account:

npx @serenegrasshopper/checkmate-vibe login
  1. This will open the Checkmate Dashboard in your browser.
  2. Log in with GitHub.
  3. Generate your API Key in the Developer Access section.
  4. Paste the key back into the CLI when prompted.
