Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

1. Prepare

Initial Socket Project

create socket entry file app.js, it contains socket event handlers. Each handler takes two arguments, the first is the data passed in from the client, and the second is the socket object, which contains helpful data and methods.

// if not provided, connections are successful by default

2. Install

Install the Serverless Framework globally:

$ npm install -g serverless

3. Create

Just create the following simple boilerplate:

$ touch serverless.yml
$ touch .env           # your Tencent api keys

Add the access keys of a Tencent CAM Role with AdministratorAccess in the .env file, using this format:

# .env
TENCENT_SECRET_ID=XXX
TENCENT_SECRET_KEY=XXX
  • If you don't have a Tencent Cloud account, you could sign up first.

4. Configure

# serverless.yml

5. Deploy

$ sls --debug

Notice: sls is short for serverless command.

 

6. Remove

$ sls remove --debug
