Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@signature-kit/zapsign

Alchemy v2 remote-signature provider for ZapSign single-PDF document creation, lookup, listing, cancellation, deletion, and signed-file download.

Install

bun add @signature-kit/zapsign @signature-kit/http effect alchemy

effect and alchemy are direct runtime dependencies. Provide signatureHttpClientLive at the stack boundary; providers(options) supplies only ZapSign credentials and resource providers.

Public surface

  • @signature-kit/zapsign — ZapSign document/signer schemas, ZapSignSignatureRequest, ZapSignProviders, providers, getZapSignSignatureRequest, listZapSignSignatureRequests, cancelZapSignSignatureRequest, deleteZapSignSignatureRequest, and downloadZapSignSignedDocument.

Capability matrix:

| Capability | Supported | | -------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------ | | Create retained Alchemy document | Yes, single PDF only | | Get document | Yes | | List documents | Yes | | Cancel document | Yes | | Delete document | Yes | | Download signed document | Yes, only when ZapSign exposes a signed-file URL |

Retained-resource semantics: Alchemy reconcile creates once and returns cached output on subsequent plans; provider list returns []; nuke is skipped. Create is a single document POST, so there is no multi-step rollback sequence to compensate after a partial provider workflow. The local schema enforces the single-PDF application/pdf input shape.

Example

import * as Alchemy from "alchemy";
import {
  ZapSignSignatureRequest,
  cancelZapSignSignatureRequest,
  providers as zapsignProviders,
  type ZapSignProviderOptions,
} from "@signature-kit/zapsign";
import { signatureHttpClientLive } from "@signature-kit/http";
import { Effect, Layer, Redacted } from "effect";

declare const pdfBase64: string;
declare const apiToken: string;

const options: ZapSignProviderOptions = {
  apiToken: Redacted.make(apiToken),
  environment: "sandbox",
};

export default class Contracts extends Alchemy.Stack<Contracts>()(
  "Contracts",
  {
    providers: Layer.merge(zapsignProviders(options), signatureHttpClientLive),
    state: Alchemy.inMemoryState(),
  },
  Effect.gen(function* () {
    return yield* ZapSignSignatureRequest("service-agreement", {
      title: "Service agreement",
      documents: [
        { fileName: "contract.pdf", mimeType: "application/pdf", contentBase64: pdfBase64 },
      ],
      recipients: [{ name: "Ada Lovelace", email: "[email protected]" }],
      send: true,
    });
  }),
) {}

export const cancelRequest = (id: string) =>
  cancelZapSignSignatureRequest(options, id).pipe(Effect.provide(signatureHttpClientLive));

Errors and i18n

Invalid inputs, remote HTTP failures, unsupported operations, and invalid response shapes fail as SignatureKitError from @signature-kit/signatures. Applications can render localized copy through errorMessage from @signature-kit/i18n with the signatureKitErrorMessages catalog from @signature-kit/signatures.
