small boO. big feelings.
A tiny haunting, in your terminal. Meet boO.
npx @simonklee/bigfeelingsUse Node.js 26.4 or newer. You do not need Bun. Keep optional dependencies enabled so the terminal renderer can load.
The package supports macOS, Linux, and Windows on x64 and arm64. Ghostty and Kitty support the held-key controls. Other terminals approximate them. The game needs at least 64 columns by 20 rows.
Enter starts the game. A/D or Left/Right moves Boo. Tap W to hop, or hold W
to jump higher and glide. Space says boo. Esc/P pauses, M toggles sound,
and Q quits. Use --half-block if your terminal cannot show the octant glyphs.
npx @simonklee/bigfeelings --help
npx @simonklee/bigfeelings --versionSettings and the checkpoint resume use $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/bigfeelings on Linux and macOS,
or ~/.config/bigfeelings when that variable is unset.
On Windows, settings use %LOCALAPPDATA%\bigfeelings.
The --sprite, --sound-settings, --movement-settings, and --journey options select other files.
Your journey saves automatically. Continue from the last checkpoint when you return.
Chapter shortcuts and the flooded practice room do not replace that journey.
Boo uses the MIT license. The package includes the game source.
