Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@skill-pack/cli

v0.2.0

Published

Scaffold projects + agent skills in one command.

Readme

@skill-pack/cli

The CLI for skill-pack — scaffold a project + a curated set of agent skills in one command, so the agent can spend its tokens on logic instead of setup.

# One-shot via npx (no global install needed):
npx -y @skill-pack/cli scaffold react remotion

# Or install globally:
npm i -g @skill-pack/cli
skillpack scaffold react remotion

Commands

| Command | What it does | | ------------------------------------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | | skillpack scaffold <boilerplate> [skills...] | Copy a boilerplate into cwd (or --into <path>), apply each skill's manifest, install deps, write .claude/skills/ + .pi/skills/ + AGENTS.md, git-init + initial commit. | | skillpack prime --boilerplate <bp> --skills <a,b,c> | Emit a clean-context primer string to stdout (project tree + per-skill SKILL.md contents) for piping into a sub-agent's first prompt. | | skillpack list boilerplates | List bundled boilerplates. | | skillpack list skills <boilerplate> | List skills available for a boilerplate. | | skillpack skill scaffold --boilerplate <bp> --name <skill> | Create an empty skill skeleton at ~/.skill-pack/skills/<bp>/<name>/ for skill-creator to fill in. |

Flags (scaffold)

| Flag | Default | Meaning | | ----------------------------- | ------------- | -------------------------------------------- | | --into <path> | cwd if empty | Target directory. | | --no-install | install | Skip dependency install. | | --pm <pnpm\|npm\|yarn\|bun> | auto-detected | Override PM. | | --host <claude\|pi\|both> | both | Which agent host's skill directory to write. | | --force | off | Scaffold into a non-empty directory. |

What gets shipped

The published tarball includes:

  • dist/ — the compiled CLI
  • boilerplates/ — bundled boilerplates (currently react)
  • meta-skills/skill-creator (more to come)
  • vendor/ — Anthropic's skill-creator machinery (vendored, Apache-2.0) and the Remotion team's official skill (vendored, attribution preserved in boilerplates/react/skills/remotion/upstream/VENDOR.md)

See the main README for the design rationale, eval results, and roadmap.

License

MIT. The vendored Anthropic skill-creator remains Apache-2.0; the vendored Remotion-team skill is bundled with attribution pending an explicit license clarification from upstream.
