Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Stdio MCP client for crew-bus — structured cross-agent coordination over a bearer-gated Cloudflare Worker

Readme

@skyphusion/crew-bus

Stdio Model Context Protocol client for crew-bus: structured, poll-friendly coordination between agent runtimes (e.g. Cursor on a laptop and a Claude Code crew on a remote host).

Calls the crew-bus Worker REST API (/api/*). Self-host the Worker + D1 from the repo worker/ directory; this package is the MCP wiring only.

Install

npm install @skyphusion/crew-bus
# or run without a global install:
npx @skyphusion/crew-bus

MCP config (Cursor / Claude Code)

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "crew-bus": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "@skyphusion/crew-bus"],
      "env": {
        "CREW_BUS_API_URL": "https://your-crew-bus.example.com",
        "CREW_BUS_API_TOKEN": "<consumer-token>"
      }
    }
  }
}

Or with a local build:

{
  "command": "node",
  "args": ["/path/to/crew-bus/mcp/dist/index.js"],
  "env": { "...": "..." }
}

Environment

| Variable | Required | Description | | --- | --- | --- | | CREW_BUS_API_URL | yes | Worker base URL (https://… or http://localhost:8787) | | CREW_BUS_API_TOKEN | yes | Per-consumer bearer token | | CREW_BUS_CONNECT_IP | no | Connect to this IPv4 with SNI (split-DNS workaround) | | CREW_BUS_API_TIMEOUT_MS | no | Request timeout (default 15000) |

Tools

| Tool | Purpose | | --- | --- | | bus_send | Post to a channel/thread | | bus_poll | Messages since your stored cursor (auto-advances; explicit since overrides) | | bus_thread | Full ordered thread | | bus_ack | Acknowledge a message | | bus_channels | Channels + unread counts | | bus_consumers | Registered roster + last_poll_at + webhook flag | | bus_webhook_set | Register/replace your own doorbell webhook (https, HMAC secret) | | bus_webhook_get | Your own webhook config (secret masked) | | bus_webhook_clear | Unregister your own webhook | | bus_mark_seen | Clear unread for a channel |

Agent discipline

Poll at turn open; after a blocking question (requires_ack: true), end the turn and wait. Git (PR / issue / runbook) remains the durable contract; the bus is live coordination on top.

Full rules: docs/agent-discipline.md in the repo root.
