Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

The SkyREC AiMS Command Line Interface (CLI) is a unified tool to manage your SkyREC AiMS services. With just one tool to download and configure, you can control multiple AiMS services from the command line.

Requirements

node.js -- v12.13.0 or newer

Install

npm install --global @skyrec/aml

Usage

You can get help on the command line to see the supported commands

aml help

and the options for an operation.

aml help install

Update AML

Update aml to the latest version

aml update

Check current installed service or available versions

aml list
aml list-remote

Example:

[AML]    Latest version: v20210413
[AML] Available version: v20210413 (odct,nvr,comet,doc,deploy)
                         v20210412 (odct,nvr,comet)
                         v20210410 (odct,nvr,comet,pgsql)
                         ...

Install specific version of service

Services: odct, nvr, pgsql, nast, comet, model, 3party, doc, deploy

aml install -v v20210412 [service]

Use -d or --development for development mode. -f or --force to force install.

Start/stop/restart service

Services: odct, nvr, pgsql, nast

aml start <service>
aml stop <service>
aml restart <service>

Service status

Services: odct, nvr, pgsql, nast

Execute database queries

1. PostgreSQL (odctdb)

aml query pgsql [options]

2. SQLite

aml query sqlite3 <sqliteDB> [options]
aml query sqlcipher <sqliteDB> [options]

Use -c <command> or --command <command> for command string. -f <filename> or --file <filename> reads commands from the file.

Partition disk

Format, partition disk. Mount partitions.

aml part sdb 4 --mount

Options

Use --mount to mount disk partitons to "/mnt/${UUID}", where ${UUID} uniquely identifies a partition in Linux operating systems. Use --mount /new/place to mount partitions to "/new/place/${UUID}".

Pre-allocate disk space

Pre-allocate specific filesystem for vas and/or recording.

aml format /mnt/9677-5AB8 --service odct --pct 40 --size 1000

Use --pct or --num.

Reserve

Reserve segment-files for streams. Generate SQL.

aml reserve /mnt/9677-1123 --service nvr --stream 1 --num 20
aml reserve /mnt/9677-1124 --service nvr --stream 1,2,3
