Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

A dark theme in brown and tan: the shibainu theme of Slidev, ported to slide.ng

Readme

shibainu

A dark theme in brown and tan with a light grey text colour. Install it with npm i -D @slide-ng/theme-shibainu and use it with theme: shibainu.

Original design: @slidev/theme-shibainu by iiiiiiinès, MIT License for the code. The layouts, names, CSS values and font settings are ported to Angular; see the MIT notice in the NOTICE file at the root of this repository.

What is ported

  • Fonts (theme.json, loaded from the font provider): Titillium Web for text, Fira Code for code. Colour schema dark: the theme has dark colours only, so a deck that uses it stays dark (slide.ng warns when a deck asks for another mode).
  • Colours: text #402312 on light backgrounds, #EBEEF2 on dark ones, the brown and tan palette of the original.
  • Small uppercase h3, and a 4em title in quote and a 3em title in section-3, as in the original.
  • Layouts, with the same names and content boxes: cover, default, center, section, section-2, section-3, default-2 to default-7, right, quote. default-3 sends the slide's class to its content box (classProp in theme.json).

What is different

  • The original draws every background with a vector illustration. Those illustrations are assets under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 (non-commercial) and are not used. Each layout here has its own background made of flat circles and ellipses in the same colours, written as CSS gradients (.shibainu-bg-* in styles/index.css). The look is close in colour and mood, not in shape.
  • Code colours come from Shiki, not from the original's Prism style sheet.

No image or other asset of the original theme is part of this folder.
