Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Sanity plugin for AI-powered image generation and editing using Replicate

Readme

@solspace/imagiterate-sanity

A Sanity Studio plugin that adds AI-powered image generation and editing capabilities to image fields using Replicate's Flux Kontext Pro model.

Features

  • 🎨 Generate AI-powered image variations from existing images
  • ✨ Edit images with natural language prompts
  • 🔄 Seamlessly integrated into Sanity Studio image fields
  • 🚀 Powered by Replicate's Flux Kontext Pro model

Installation

npm install @solspace/imagiterate-sanity

Usage

1. Add the plugin to your Sanity config

In your sanity.config.ts (or .js):

import {defineConfig} from 'sanity'
import {imagiterate} from '@solspace/imagiterate-sanity'

export default defineConfig({
  // ... your config
  plugins: [
    // ... other plugins
    imagiterate({
      replicateApiKey: process.env.SANITY_STUDIO_REPLICATE_API_KEY || '',
    }),
  ],
})

2. Set up your Replicate API key

Create a .env file in your Sanity Studio root:

SANITY_STUDIO_REPLICATE_API_KEY=your_replicate_api_key_here

Get your API key from Replicate.

3. Use in your Studio

  1. Open any document with an image field (e.g., a Post or Page)
  2. Upload or select an existing image
  3. Click the "Edit with Imagiterate" button that appears below the image field
  4. Enter a prompt describing the changes you want (e.g., "make it more vibrant", "add a sunset sky")
  5. Click "Generate" to create a variation
  6. Click "Use generated image" to apply it to your document

Example Prompts

  • "Make the colors more vibrant"
  • "Add a dramatic sunset in the background"
  • "Convert to black and white"
  • "Make it look like a painting"
  • "Add more contrast and saturation"
  • "Change the style to watercolor"

Requirements

  • Sanity v4 or higher
  • React 18 or 19
  • Node.js 18 or higher
  • A Replicate API key

Configuration

The plugin requires a replicateApiKey in the configuration:

imagiterate({
  replicateApiKey: string // Required: Your Replicate API key
})

How It Works

The plugin integrates with a Cloudflare Worker proxy at https://imagiterate.solspace.workers.dev/api/replicate to handle Replicate API calls securely. The worker manages:

  • Creating predictions with the Flux Kontext Pro model
  • Polling for prediction status
  • Handling CORS and authentication
