Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Sonarvue MCP installer

Install the Sonarvue MCP server into your coding agents with a single command.

npx @sonarvue/mcp

That's it. The CLI detects which agents you use, writes the correct config for each one, and registers the Sonarvue hosted MCP server (https://mcp.sonarvue.com/mcp, streamable HTTP).

The installer opens a browser tab where you sign in, approve your Sonarvue workspace, and create a revocable MCP token — the callback is caught automatically on 127.0.0.1:14123 and written into each harness config as an Authorization: Bearer tk_… header. Revoke any time under Settings → Integrations → MCP.

Non-interactive runs (CI, scripts) skip the browser: pass SONARVUE_MCP_TOKEN, --header 'Authorization: Bearer tk_…', or set SONARVUE_SKIP_LOGIN=1 to install without a token.

Supported agents

Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, VS Code, Windsurf, Zed, Gemini CLI, Goose, GitHub Copilot CLI, Antigravity, Cline, Grok Build, MCPorter, and more:

npx @sonarvue/mcp list-agents

Options

| Option | Description | | ------------------------ | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | [target] | Install a different MCP server URL or npm package instead of Sonarvue's hosted endpoint | | -g, --global | Install to user-level config instead of the current project | | -a, --agent <agent> | Target specific agents (repeatable), e.g. -a cursor -a claude-code | | --all | Install to all supported agents | | -y, --yes | Skip confirmation prompts | | -n, --name <name> | Server name (defaults to sonarvue) | | -t, --transport <type> | Transport for remote servers: http (default) or sse | | --scopes <scopes> | OAuth scopes for remote servers (comma-separated; capability-gated per agent) |

Examples

# Interactive install into every detected agent (project scope)
npx @sonarvue/mcp

# Non-interactive install for specific agents
npx @sonarvue/mcp -y -a cursor -a claude-code

# User-level install so every project gets Sonarvue
npx @sonarvue/mcp -g -y

# Self-hosted Sonarvue deployment
npx @sonarvue/mcp https://mcp.sonarvue.acme.com/mcp

The default target can also be overridden with the SONARVUE_MCP_URL environment variable.

Other commands

| Command | Description | | ---------------- | ---------------------------------------------------- | | list-agents | List all supported coding agents | | find <keyword> | Search public MCP registries for other servers | | list | List installed MCP servers across detected agents | | remove <query> | Remove an MCP server from agent configurations | | sync | Synchronize server names/installations across agents |

Development

Requires Node.js 18+.

npm install
npm run build       # bundle src/ -> dist/ (tsup)
npm run typecheck # tsc --noEmit
npm test # unit + e2e tests (tsx)
npm run dev # run the CLI from source

CI runs typecheck, tests, and build on every push and pull request.
