Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@sorqen/client

v0.1.0

Published

Authenticated Sorqen fair values plus local prediction-market comparison using venue data you supply.

Readme

@sorqen/client

Fetch authenticated Sorqen fair values and compute prediction-market comparisons on your own machine.

Sorqen hosts sportsbook-derived no-vig fair values. Your venue book stays with you. This package joins those two inputs locally without sending your venue credentials, positions or order flow to Sorqen.

npm i @sorqen/client @sorqen/resolver

Authenticated Sorqen data

Current fair values require a Sorqen API key, including the Free tier. Discovery is public; live product data is not.

Get a Free key at:

https://sorqen.flashodds.live/keys
import { Sorqen } from '@sorqen/client';

const sorqen = new Sorqen({ apiKey: process.env.SORQEN_KEY });

const fairValues = await sorqen.fairValues({ league: 'nba' });
const settlementRules = await sorqen.settlementRules();

The hosted API enforces the caller's Free/paid plan before this package receives any current Sorqen data. The package does not contain a bundled data feed or a way around those entitlements.

Local comparison

const books = await yourVenueClient.books(); // your lawful venue access

const edges = sorqen.computeEdges({
  fairValues,
  books,
  settlementRules,
  sizeUsd: 1000
});

A worked board lives in examples/kalshi-board in the Sorqen repository.

Why the comparison runs locally

Sorqen does not publish Polymarket or Kalshi prices. The hosted product publishes the sportsbook-derived fair-value side; you independently obtain venue data you are entitled to access and perform the comparison where that permission exists.

That boundary also keeps venue credentials, positions and order flow off Sorqen infrastructure.

Refusal behavior

The package preserves Sorqen's refusal philosophy:

  • A Sorqen fair value with fair_probability: null produces no trusted edge.
  • Unknown fees leave net edge unknown rather than pretending trading is free.
  • Incompatible or unknown settlement rules block the comparison.
  • A venue book with no matching fair value is skipped.
  • Executable comparison uses the ask/fill ladder rather than pretending the midpoint is executable.

Package boundary

@sorqen/client is MIT-licensed local code. It may compute from inputs you provide, but it does not mirror, cache or redistribute the hosted Sorqen data product.

Part of Sorqen.
