Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

spider_n8n_node

This is an n8n community node for Spider — the fastest web crawling and scraping API built for AI agents and pipelines.

n8n is a fair-code licensed workflow automation platform.

Installation

Follow the installation guide in the n8n community nodes documentation.

Operations

  • Crawl — Crawl a website and extract content from multiple pages
  • Scrape — Scrape content from a single page
  • Search — Search the web and optionally retrieve full page content
  • Links — Extract all links from a page
  • Screenshot — Capture a screenshot of a page
  • Transform — Fetch a URL and convert its content to another format (markdown, HTML, text, XML)
  • Get Credits — Check your available Spider API credits

All content operations support configurable return formats (Markdown, HTML, Plain Text, XML) and advanced options including anti-bot bypass, headless browser rendering, proxy rotation, and readability mode.

Credentials

You need a Spider API key to use this node.

  1. Sign up at spider.cloud
  2. Go to spider.cloud/api-keys to generate your API key
  3. In n8n, create a new Spider API credential and paste your key

Compatibility

Tested with n8n version 1.x. No known incompatibilities.
