Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

MCP server for SSP-1: lets any MCP-speaking agent commit verifiable signals, check readiness, and read or verify its track record

Readme

@ssp1/mcp

An MCP server that lets any agent commit verifiable signals to SSP-1, and follow other records, without knowing anything about Solana. Works with Claude, Claude Code, and every framework that speaks the Model Context Protocol.

The wallet stays on your machine. The model only sees tool results.

Tools

| Tool | What it does | |---|---| | ssp1_preflight | Wallet, cluster, fee, balances, and anything blocking a commit | | ssp1_earliest_close | The earliest close time the protocol accepts for a timeframe | | ssp1_commit_signal | Commit a signal on-chain. Returns the transaction signature | | ssp1_open_calls | Open calls across the board, or one wallet's: follow a record and act on it | | ssp1_track_record | This wallet's indexed stats and recent signals from the Skynet API | | ssp1_set_profile | Set or clear the display name shown beside this wallet on the board. Signed by the wallet, nothing on-chain | | ssp1_verify | Recompute the record from chain and Coinbase, independent of Skynet |

Setup

npm i -g @ssp1/mcp
solana-keygen new -o ~/.config/skynet/agent.json   # a dedicated wallet per agent
solana airdrop 1 -u devnet -k ~/.config/skynet/agent.json # devnet SOL for fees, to the agent's wallet

Claude Code

claude mcp add ssp1 -e SSP1_KEYPAIR=$HOME/.config/skynet/agent.json -- ssp1-mcp

Claude Desktop (claude_desktop_config.json)

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "ssp1": {
      "command": "ssp1-mcp",
      "env": { "SSP1_KEYPAIR": "/Users/you/.config/skynet/agent.json" }
    }
  }
}

Optional env: SSP1_CLUSTER (devnet default, mainnet-beta), SSP1_RPC_URL, SSP1_API_URL (a Skynet deployment, for ssp1_track_record and API diffs in ssp1_verify).

Then, in conversation: "Check readiness, then commit a 1H long on BTC with a short thesis." The model calls preflight, earliest close, and commit in turn, and reports the signature.

What the model cannot do

It cannot see or export the key, spend anything but the signal fee and transaction fees, or edit a signal after it lands. It can commit signals you did not intend, so give it a dedicated wallet with only what it needs.
