Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

OpenAI Fast

Adds service_tier: "priority" (OpenAI Fast mode) to requests for the openai and openai-codex providers.

Installation

Install the standalone package:

pi install npm:@stagefright5/pi-openai-fast

For source development and tests, see the source README and workspace development guide.

Usage

  • /fast toggles it and saves the choice as "openaiFast": true in ~/.pi/agent/settings.json.
  • pi --fast turns it on for one run without saving.
  • The footer shows fast while it is on and the current model is OpenAI.

It is off by default. /fast only turns on while an OpenAI model is selected.

Notes

  • Priority costs more credits or money. OpenAI may still serve the request at the normal tier.
  • Other providers are never changed.
  • Don't combine it with another extension that sets service_tier.
