Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Stamhoofd backend application

To run, make sure you set your environment variables.

You can create a .env file:

# Database
DB_HOST=localhost
DB_USER=root
DB_PASS=root
DB_DATABASE=stamhoofd

# SMTP server (for sending emails)
SMTP_HOST=email-smtp.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com
SMTP_USERNAME=xxxx
SMTP_PASSWORD=xxxx
SMTP_PORT=xxxx

Setup

From the repository root, install dependencies and run the migrations to setup the database.

pnpm install
pnpm run build:shared
pnpm --dir backend/app/api run migrations

Running

From the repository root:

pnpm --dir backend/app/api run start

Testing

From the repository root:

pnpm stam test api
