Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Material UI adapters for stamp rally viewers and editors.

@stamprally/mui v0.25.3

MuiAccountBackupBanner and MuiCloudSyncButton provide Material UI adapters for the host-provided account-link and cloud-sync callbacks.

MUI (Material UI) adapter components for @stamprally/core. The package provides a themed participant viewer and an authoring editor while keeping the domain engine and existing UI packages unchanged. MUI, Emotion, React, and React DOM stay in the host application's bundle through peer dependencies.

Install

pnpm add @stamprally/mui @mui/material @mui/icons-material @emotion/react @emotion/styled

The package expects React 18 or 19 and MUI 5 or 6. It does not include an authentication provider, router, HTTP client, or CMS integration.

Viewer

Pass a PublicRallyConfig for a read-only sheet, or pass the return value from useStampRally as adapter to enable check-in, reward redemption, and sync status.

import { MuiRallyViewer } from "@stamprally/mui";
import { useStampRally } from "@stamprally/react";
import type { StampRallyClient } from "@stamprally/core";

export function RallyPage({ client }: { readonly client: StampRallyClient }) {
  const rally = useStampRally(client);
  return <MuiRallyViewer adapter={rally} sx={{ maxWidth: 960, mx: "auto" }} />;
}

All components accept sx. Cards and lists also expose slots and slotProps, and the viewer supports renderSpotCard and renderRewardCard for application-specific content.

MuiRallyViewer includes the same Next Spot and completion panels as the headless viewer. The host owns navigation through onNavigate; configure nextAction for order or nearest-location suggestions and onCompleted for completion transitions.

Editor

MuiAdminRallyEditor owns useAdminRallyEditor internally and returns immutable config updates through onChange.

import { MuiAdminRallyEditor } from "@stamprally/mui";

<MuiAdminRallyEditor config={adminConfig} onChange={setAdminConfig} locale="ja" />;

The editor includes Basic settings, Spots, Rewards, Metadata, and Theme tabs. The lower-level MuiSpotEditor, MuiSpotList, MuiRewardEditor, and MuiMetadataEditor can be composed into a custom authoring flow.

Theme integration

The adapter does not create a theme or override the host theme. Wrap it with MUI's ThemeProvider to use custom palettes and dark mode:

import { createTheme, ThemeProvider } from "@mui/material/styles";

const theme = createTheme({
  palette: {
    mode: "dark",
    primary: { main: "#8bd3dd" },
  },
});

<ThemeProvider theme={theme}>
  <MuiRallyViewer config={publicConfig} />
</ThemeProvider>;

See examples/mui-app for a Vite example containing both viewer and editor screens.
