mul

Multiply two unsigned 8-bit integers.

Installation

Usage

var mul = require( '@stdlib/number-uint8-base-mul' );

mul( x, y )

Multiplies two unsigned 8-bit integers.

var v = mul( 5, 1 );
// returns 5

v = mul( 5, 2 );
// returns 10

v = mul( 5, 0 );
// returns 0

Notes

• The function performs C-like multiplication of two unsigned 8-bit integers, including wraparound semantics.
