Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

@substrat-run/engine-booking

Reservation engine for Substratresources, intervals, and capacity. It owns exactly one invariant and nothing else.

It knows nothing about pricing, opening hours, recurrence, cancellation windows, skill levels, or timezones — all of that is vertical policy. It takes absolute instants and compares them; it never does calendar arithmetic.

What it owns

  • One invariant: capacity is never exceeded. Concurrent allocations against a resource never exceed its capacity over any overlapping interval — enforced without row locks.
  • A hold → confirm lifecycle. A hold is a provisional claim that expires on its own; confirm makes it firm; move, cancel, start, complete, and no-show carry it the rest of the way.
  • Attribution comes from the ambient principal, never from the input.
  • Every mutation emits a fat eventbooking.held, booking.confirmed, booking.moved, booking.completed, … — so consumers never query back.
