Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Utils Library

A library of utility functions for common operations in JavaScript and TypeScript.

Installation

You can install this library using npm:

npm install @t-alpha/utils

Functions

formatBRLCurrency

Formats a number as Brazilian Real currency.

Input:

const value = 1234.56;

Output:

const formattedValue = formatBRLCurrency(value);
console.log(formattedValue); // "R$ 1.234,56"

replaceCurrencyToNumber

Converts a Brazilian Real currency string to a number.

Input:

const currency = "R$ 1.234,56";

Output:

const numberValue = replaceCurrencyToNumber(currency);
console.log(numberValue); // 1234.56

formatCurrencyWhileTyping

Formats a string as currency while typing.

Input:

const value = "123456";

Output:

const formattedValue = formatCurrencyWhileTyping(value);
console.log(formattedValue); // "1.234,56"

getInitials

Gets the initials from a name.

Input:

const name = "John Doe";

Output:

const initials = getInitials(name);
console.log(initials); // "JD"

formatCpfWhileTyping

Formats a CPF number while typing.

Input:

const cpf = "12345678909";

Output:

const formattedCpf = formatCpfWhileTyping(cpf);
console.log(formattedCpf); // "123.456.789-09"

maskPhoneWithDDD

Masks a phone number with DDD.

Input:

const phone = "11987654321";

Output:

const maskedPhone = maskPhoneWithDDD(phone);
console.log(maskedPhone); // "(11) 98765-4321"

hideCpfOrCnpj

Hides parts of a CPF or CNPJ number.

Input:

const cpf = "12345678909";

Output:

const hiddenCpf = hideCpfOrCnpj(cpf);
console.log(hiddenCpf); // "***.456.789-**"

Input:

const cnpj = "12345678000195";

Output:

const hiddenCnpj = hideCpfOrCnpj(cnpj);

Formats a string as a digitable line.

Input:

Output:
