Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

MCP server for the Dreamscape Reseller REST API — domain registry management

Readme

Dreamscape MCP Server

MCP server for the Dreamscape Reseller REST API (Dreamscape Networks / Crazy Domains), focused on domain registry operations: domains, availability and TLD pricing, transfers, registrant contacts, glue records (hosts), and customers.

Configuration

Set via environment variables (or a .env file — see .env.example):

| Variable | Default | Description | |---|---|---| | DREAMSCAPE_API_KEY | (required) | API key from Reseller Console → Account Settings → API & WHMCS → API Setup | | DREAMSCAPE_READONLY | true | When true, write tools (register/renew/transfer/update/delete) are not registered | | DREAMSCAPE_DNS_ENABLED | false | When true, registers Dreamscape DNS record tools. Off by default — customer DNS is managed in DNS Made Easy | | DREAMSCAPE_SANDBOX | false | When true, targets reseller-api.sandbox.ds.network instead of production |

Tools

Always registered (read-only, 15): check_connection, get_balance, list_invoices, list_currencies, list_tlds, check_availability, list_domains, get_domain, check_transfer_availability, list_registrants, get_registrant, list_hosts, get_host, list_customers, get_customer

With DREAMSCAPE_READONLY=false (+15): register_domain, update_domain, renew_domain, delete_domain, request_transfer, cancel_transfer, create_registrant, update_registrant, add_host, update_host, delete_host, create_customer, update_customer, delete_customer, create_customer_login_link

With DREAMSCAPE_DNS_ENABLED=true (+2 read; +3 more write when not readonly): list_dns_records, get_dns_record, create_dns_record, update_dns_record, delete_dns_record

Note: register_domain, renew_domain, and request_transfer spend reseller account balance.

Authentication

Each request sends a unique Api-Request-Id (MD5 of a random UUID) and an Api-Signature of MD5(request_id + api_key), per the Dreamscape auth scheme.

Usage

// Claude Code / MCP client config
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "dreamscape": {
      "command": "node",
      "args": ["C:/Users/daryl/Development/Dreamscape-MCP/dist/index.js"],

        "DREAMSCAPE_API_KEY": "...",
        "DREAMSCAPE_READONLY": "true"
      }
    }
  }
}

Development

npm install
npm run dev # tsx watch
npm run typecheck

The full OpenAPI spec the tools were built from is saved at reference/dreamscape-openapi.json (fetched from https://doc-reseller-api.ds.network/schema/json).
