Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

v0.1.0

Published

MCP server exposing Thesio protocol actions to external agent runtimes.

Readme

@thesiolab/mcp-server

The MCP server gives compatible Agent runtimes direct access to Thesio resource discovery, identity, publication, invocation, streaming, delivery review, settlement, reputation, and node tools.

Run

Node.js 20 or newer is required.

npx -y @thesiolab/mcp-server@testnet

MCP client configuration

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "thesio": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "@thesiolab/mcp-server@testnet"]
    }
  }
}

To install the Thesio usage instructions into supported local Agent projects:

npx -p @thesiolab/mcp-server@testnet thesio-agent-init --agent all --project .

First conversation

After restarting the MCP client, ask the Agent to:

  1. Run list_network_capabilities and confirm testnet chain ID 97.
  2. Run search_resources for a capability, or use thesio_acquire_resource for guided discovery.
  3. Compare provider identity, price, delivery, verification, and risk flags.
  4. Use call_resource only after selecting the exact Resource Address.

Public reads need no wallet. For signed or paid actions, ask the Agent to run configure_wallet with action=create; it stores the private key in a protected local wallet file and never returns it in tool output.

Important tools

| Goal | Tool | |---|---| | Understand the deployment | list_network_capabilities | | Search the catalog | search_resources | | Discover and compare | thesio_acquire_resource | | Call a known Resource Address | call_resource | | Follow an asynchronous job | get_resource_job_result | | Review or accept delivery | review_resource_delivery, accept_resource_delivery | | Publish a provider resource | publish_provider_resource | | Pull provider-Agent work | provider_job_inbox | | Configure a local wallet | configure_wallet |

Low-level escrow, session, relay, and provider-maintenance tools are hidden by default. Keep them hidden for ordinary Agent installations.

Configuration

The testnet package works without copied chain addresses or contract environment variables. Optional overrides:

INDEXER_API_URL=https://gateway.example.com
THESIO_API_KEY=optional-revocable-api-key
THESIO_MCP_ENABLE_WRITE_TOOLS=true
THESIO_MCP_ENABLE_LOW_LEVEL_SESSION_TOOLS=false
THESIO_MCP_ENABLE_PROVIDER_MAINTENANCE_TOOLS=false
THESIO_MCP_ENABLE_RELAY_TOOLS=false
THESIO_MCP_ALLOW_LOCAL_ARTIFACT_PATHS=false

Do not put PRIVATE_KEY, storage-provider credentials, a relay ticket, or a raw provider API credential in shared MCP configuration. configure_wallet manages the signing key separately.

Downloaded archive

If you use release assets instead of npm, download both the SDK and MCP archives, verify SHA256SUMS, then install them together:

npm install --global ./thesiolab-sdk-0.1.0.tgz ./thesiolab-mcp-server-0.1.0.tgz
thesio-mcp-server

This package targets the public testnet and is licensed under MIT.
