Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Nextcloud Talk Channel for Chatons

Nextcloud Talk bridge for Chatons. Connect to your Nextcloud instance and sync messages from Talk rooms.

Setup

  1. Install this extension in Chatons
  2. Open the Nextcloud Talk view from the sidebar
  3. Fill in your credentials:
  • Nextcloud URL: e.g. https://cloud.example.com
  • Username: Bot user username
  • App Password: App password from Nextcloud > Settings > Security
  1. Click Connect to start the bridge
  2. Messages will automatically sync between Nextcloud Talk and Chatons conversations

  • Outbound reply mirroring back to Nextcloud Talk
  • Per-conversation thread mapping
  • Model selection for AI responses

Architecture

This extension runs as a background service within Chatons:

  • Polls Nextcloud Talk API for new messages
  • Creates/maps Chatons conversations for each chat
  • Mirrors assistant replies back to Nextcloud Talk
  • Persists state via Chatons KV storage
