SindriUI React

A library of well-made React UI components for Invenio and other TIND products.

About this fork

SindriUI React is a fork of PrimeReact, taken at 10.9.8 and carrying the security fix from 10.9.9 — the final PrimeReact release, after which the upstream repository was archived. Both are MIT-licensed; PrimeReact's commercial licence begins at v11, which this fork does not track.

The component API is unchanged from upstream. Only the package name differs, so imports move from primereact/* to @tindtechnologies/sindriui-react/*. The browser global is still primereact, since a scoped, hyphenated name cannot be used as a JavaScript identifier.

The name

In Norse myth, Sindri is a dwarf smith who, with his brother Brokkr, forged the treasures of the gods — Thor's hammer among them. The name is for the workshop rather than the wares: carefully made parts that Invenio and other TIND products are built from.

Usage

npm install @tindtechnologies/sindriui-react

56 themes ship in resources/themes/. Icon fonts come from primeicons, which is installed separately.

Development

Requires Node 24, the version CI builds and tests on. That applies to working on the library itself — the published package declares its own, wider support range for consumers.
