Teambition CLI

Teambition CLI lets people and AI agents query, create, and update Teambition data from a terminal. teambition and teambition-cli are equivalent commands.

Requirements

• Node.js 18 or later
• macOS, Linux, or Windows on x64 or ARM64
• Access to the Teambition MCP service

Install

npx -y @tng/teambition-mcp-cli@latest install

The installer upgrades the CLI globally, delegates Agent Skill installation to the standard skills installer, and starts browser OAuth when login is required. You can then run:

teambition user me
teambition project query --my
teambition task query --help

Business commands and help are discovered from the connected Teambition MCP service, so newly published server capabilities do not require a CLI reinstall.

To try the CLI without a global install:

npx -y @tng/teambition-mcp-cli user me

Installer options:

The current installation flow requires Node.js and npm. Qwen Work CN is supported through its native ~/.qwenworkcn/skills/teambition/ directory when that client is detected; restart Qwen Work CN after installation so the running client reloads the Skill. There is intentionally no no-npm Skill fallback.

Login and configuration

teambition auth login

The native CLI stores OAuth credentials securely. The npm launcher does not read or print tokens.

For CI or another non-interactive environment, install the Agent Skill without opening a browser:

teambition setup --non-interactive --skip-login

If a trusted environment injects TEAMBITION_MCP_TOKEN, business commands use that identity without requiring auth login.

Update and uninstall

npm install -g @tng/teambition-mcp-cli
npm uninstall -g @tng/teambition-mcp-cli

npm owns this installation, so teambition upgrade does not replace it.

Troubleshooting

• If teambition is not found, make sure npm's global executable directory is on PATH.
• Do not install with --ignore-scripts; the postinstall script verifies and unpacks the native executable for the current platform.
• PLATFORM_BINARY_MISSING means the current platform archive was not unpacked. Reinstall the same package version without --ignore-scripts.
• CHECKSUM_MISMATCH means an embedded platform archive failed integrity verification. Clear the npm cache and reinstall the same exact version.

Run teambition doctor to inspect local installation, configuration, and Skill status. It does not access business data or print credentials.
