Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

FreezeRay CLI

CLI tool for freezing SwiftData schemas and validating migration paths.

Note: This package contains a precompiled binary for Apple Silicon (ARM64) only. Intel Macs are not supported via npm - please build from source.

Installation

npm install -g @trinsicventures/freezeray

Quick Start

# Initialize FreezeRay in your project
cd YourProject
freezeray init

# Annotate your schema
# (Add @FreezeSchema(version: "1.0.0") to your schema)

# Freeze the schema
freezeray freeze 1.0.0

Requirements

  • macOS 14+
  • Apple Silicon (ARM64) only
  • Xcode 15+
  • iOS 17+ or macOS 14+ project with SwiftData

Building from Source (Intel Macs)

git clone https://github.com/TrinsicVentures/FreezeRay.git
cd FreezeRay
swift build -c release
cp .build/release/freezeray /usr/local/bin/
