Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Persistent Opencode Memory Plugin

A lightweight, persistent memory tool for Opencode (and other CLI agents) inspired by claude-mem.

This tool allows you to track your sessions, commands, and notes, and recall them later. It is designed to be used by the agent itself to maintain context across sessions.

Features

  • Session Management: Organize work into sessions per project.
  • Automatic Logging: Execute commands via mem run to automatically log output.
  • Notes: Record thoughts, plans, and observations.
  • Search: Retrieve past context using keyword search.
  • Persistence: All data is stored in a local SQLite database (memory.sqlite).

Installation

  1. Clone this repository.
  2. Run npm install.
  3. Use the ./mem script.

Usage

1. Start a Session

Start a new session for a specific project. This creates a .session file to track the active session ID.

./mem start-session my-project

2. Run Commands

Execute shell commands and automatically log the command, output, and exit code to the active session.

./mem run ls -F
./mem run npm test

3. Log Notes

Record your thoughts, observations, or plans.

./mem note "The tests failed because of a missing dependency."
./mem note "Plan: Install dependency and retry."

4. Search Memory

Retrieve past observations, commands, and notes. Matches against content and project names.

./mem search "dependency"
./mem search "ls"

5. Check Status

See the current active session ID.

./mem status

6. End Session

End the current session, optionally providing a summary.

./mem end-session "Fixed the dependency issue and tests passed."

Database Schema

The data is stored in memory.sqlite with the following schema:

  • sessions: id, project, started_at, ended_at, summary
  • observations: id, session_id, type (command, note), content, metadata (JSON), created_at
