Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Trumbo CLI

The Trumbo terminal agent — a fast, flicker-free native TUI (Rust) for plans, subagents, and parallel work. Install once, run trumbo on macOS, Linux, and Windows.

Install

npm install -g @trumbodev/cli

The package installs prebuilt native binaries for your platform (optionalDependencies) — no Rust toolchain needed:

trumbo --version

Get Started

# Launch the interactive TUI
trumbo

# Run a single task headlessly
trumbo -p "Explain this codebase"

On first launch, Trumbo opens your browser to authenticate (device flow). For CI or headless environments set TRUMBO_TOKEN (or the legacy XAI_API_KEY).

Update

trumbo update

Or re-install the latest via npm:

npm install -g @trumbodev/cli@latest

Supported Platforms

Auth / provider

  • Default API base: https://api.trumbo.dev/api/v1 (TRUMBO_API_BASE_URL overrides)

  • trumbo login — device-code auth; trumbo trumbo — auth + subscription status
