Transforms verbose GitHub webhook payloads into simplified, agent-friendly events — the essential fields a conversational or workflow agent needs, without the noise.
Supports push, pull_request, issues, issue_comment, workflow_run,
release, create/delete and a generic fallback for everything else.
Extracted from the Tushell Platform webhook pipeline
(rispecs/13-workflows/event-pipeline.rispec.md, rispecs/12-api/webhooks.rispec.md).
Usage
import { GitHubWebhookETL, type AgentFriendlyGitHubEvent } from "@tushell/github-event-etl"
const event: AgentFriendlyGitHubEvent = GitHubWebhookETL.transform(
headers["x-github-event"],
webhookPayload,
)
// → { event_type, action, repository, actor, summary, details, ... }No runtime dependencies.
