Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

This workspace is an exploratory prototype, not a finished high-scale production system. It serves to investigate the boundaries of interactive trace visualizations, state synchronization, and model evaluation mappings.


🧭 Overview of Specifications

This prototype is backed by robust, reverse-engineered specifications that describe how to implement a fully reactive trace debugger in any programming language or framework.


🔍 Aspects Explored in this Prototype

Each exploration aspect is kept under 55 words to remain precise and highly focused.

1. Zoom Focus Isolation

Focuses the view entirely on a chosen subchain. By setting a nested span as the temporary root, all parent and sibling clutter is hidden, letting you see deep execution legs clearly. (33 words)

2. Selection Navigation Controller

A persistent control panel at the viewport footer. It offers fast parent backtracking and subtree zooming, turning huge, complex trace list scrolls into a tactile, effortless search and jump experience. (31 words)

3. Cross-View Synchronization

Simultaneously links the Tree, Gantt Waterfall, Raw JSON, and Quality Evaluation list. Clicking any element—including a score—smoothly coordinates selected IDs and updates viewport boundaries under a single state. (29 words)

4. Secure Langfuse Integration

Safely pulls external database traces inside a Node/Express API proxy. This converts remote live execution records into localized, unified schemas without risking client-side API credential exposure. (27 words)

5. Multi-Metric Score Evaluations

Maps quantitative outputs onto bright, intuitive cards. When cards highlight a problem, a "Teleport Span" gateway instantly carries the designer back to the timeline context to debug the issue. (28 words)

This architecture translates raw asynchronous logs and causality chains into a synchronized, single-direction React state tree. By virtualizing recursive layouts and linking parent references via custom data loaders, we resolve hierarchical traversal and temporal scale coordinates with deterministic, predictable speed.

🌸 Perspective 2: The Storyteller's Tale (An Ending Explained to a Child)

Imagine a busy little ant running through a big maze, leaving glowing breadcrumbs behind! Each crumb says what chore the ant did and how long it took. Our magic map helps you look at just one crumb, see the exact family tree of footsteps, and find where they tripped!
