Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@tuvren/runtime — internal orchestration engine

Internal package. Not a host-facing API. (ADR-0057)

@tuvren/runtime is the internal orchestration engine that drives a Tuvren turn: the runtime core loop, orchestration runtime, runner registry, capability registry/policy engine, context-manifest builder, handoff builders, and the kernel-bridge factories. It is composed by the host-facing composition tier and is not something a downstream host imports directly.

Do not import this package directly

A host composes the framework through the curated host-facing SDK boundary:

  • @tuvren/core — the behavior-free ABI (types, contracts, assertions) and its subpaths.
  • @tuvren/sdk — the composition tier: the batteries-included createTuvren entrypoint plus the curated @tuvren/core re-exports and developer helpers.
  • The leaf packages you choose — a backend (@tuvren/backend-memory / @tuvren/backend-sqlite / @tuvren/backend-postgres), a runner (@tuvren/runner-react), the provider bridge, stream adapters, MCP client, etc.

createTuvren (from @tuvren/sdk) accepts constructed instances only — you build the backend and runner from their leaf packages and pass them in; there are no "memory" / "react" string shorthands (ADR-0057 §2).

An automated boundary check in the canonical verification path fails if a file under typescript/host/** imports @tuvren/runtime (or a kernel package).

Stability

This package remains published for transparency but is marked internal and is not semver-guaranteed (ADR-0057 §5). Its surface can change without a major version bump. Depend on @tuvren/core + @tuvren/sdk + leaf packages instead; those carry the stable, semver-guaranteed host-facing contract.

The engine surface here is consumed by @tuvren/sdk and by the conformance adapters that exercise the engine at a lower level than createTuvren.

For adopter onboarding — the host import contract, stable vs. @experimental surfaces, and an install-plus-first-Turn walkthrough — see docs/guides/publishing-and-adopter-onboarding.md in the Tuvren framework repository.
