Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

UsingBlockchain/BlockSnippets

Repository for the BlockSnippets open source code snippets library.

This package aims to provide with a command line interface helping you to execute source code snippets mentioned in UBC Digital Magazine.

The author of this package cannot be held responsible for any loss of money or any malintentioned usage forms of this package. Please use this package with caution.

Requirements

  1. Latest NodeJS stable version (> v12)
$ node -v
v12.18.4

Instructions / Environment

  • Using NPM
$ npm install -g @ubcdigital/blocksnippets
  • Using Git
$ git clone https://github.com/UsingBlockchain/BlockSnippets
$ cd BlockSnippets && npm install
$ npm run build
$ alias BlockSnippets='./BlockSnippets'

Examples

  1. Execute snippets as showcased in https://ubc.digital :
$ BlockSnippets ExecuteSnippet -n bitcoin -s genesis
$ BlockSnippets ExecuteSnippet -n symbol -s identities
$ BlockSnippets ExecuteSnippet -n symbol -s products
