Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

@umbra-privacy/key-words

Words a person can write down for a BN254 field element (27 words) or a 64-byte secret (50 words). It uses the BIP-39 English list at lengths no wallet accepts, with a checksum bound to what the secret is and where it belongs.

Most apps don't install it directly. It is a building block of @umbra-privacy/nimbus-solana-web, which installs it for you.

Pre-release (0.x): every API, type and behaviour is subject to change at any time, as and when the Nimbus Privacy team (built by Umbra Privacy) decides or requires.

Install

pnpm add @umbra-privacy/key-words

Entry points

  • @umbra-privacy/key-words: Exporting a field element or a secret as words, importing it back, and identifyWords.
  • @umbra-privacy/key-words/types: The dependencies a caller passes in, what a checksum binds, and the error.
